Description
In this two day workshop we get comfortable with setting up and using hand tools. Various hand planes marking and layout tools and hand saws. I show why the hand plane works and the reasons it won’t creating as anyone who has tried to use one knows, an incredibly frustrating exercise.
We will make winding sticks and a shooting board along with a bench hook. These are simple but must have tools. They make your hand tool woodworking a joy!
Sharpening is covered in depth.
We can work with the axe and froe, drawknife and shave bench on green woodworking techniques too if that is a direction you’d like to go in.
